The South West offices of national law firm Clarke Willmott LLP have once again been recognised in the annual Chambers and Partners Guide.

The firm is ranked in 33 practice areas across its seven regional offices, with four practice areas achieving the top Band 1 ranking in the prestigious guide, all of which are based in Clarke Willmott’s Bristol and Taunton offices: Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Family/Matrimonial, Professional Negligence: Mainly Claimant and Real Estate Litigation.

Clarke Willmott in the South West is also ranked in Band 2 in eight practice areas and in Band 3 in two.

Meanwhile three South West lawyers have received a Band 1 ranking in the latest guide: Esther Woolford, Lee Hart and Alex Jakubowski, who has attained the top ranking in both Litigation and Professional Negligence.

A further 16 individuals in Bristol and Taunton were ranked in Band 2, seven in Band 3 and three in Band 4.

Gareth Schofield, partner and head of Clarke Willmott’s family team, is named as a Star Individual for Family, South West while Jade Lyus and James Edmondson were named in the Up and Coming category. Six South West lawyers were recognised as Associates to Watch: Stephen Harper, Rebecca Aston-Jones, Stephanie Hambridge (née Bishop), Hannah Livesey, Vanessa Harris and Sam Harkness.

Sixty-six Clarke Willmott lawyers were ranked with 73 individual recommendations, including eight Band 1 rankings and an Eminent Practitioner ranking for the firm’s CEO Peter Swinburn. Some 14 of these recommendations were new and six rankings were improved on the 2025 edition.
