Oliver Sainter is an associate in the commercial & private client litigation team, based in Bristol.
He specialises in contractual disputes of all types, including shareholder and investment disputes, directors’ duties, disputes between partners and commercial agency termination claims. Oliver also regularly deals with contentious intellectual property matters, and advises a leading legal expenses funder and insurer in respect of contested ATE claims.
Oliver read law at Warwick University, before being called to the bar in 2008 and cross qualifying as a solicitor in 2012.
Before joining the firm Oliver worked in the asset finance team at Shoosmiths LLP, where he acted exclusively for banks and captive finance companies in respect of a range of matters including agency disputes with dealers, brokers and suppliers; surety claims and disputes; technical Consumer Credit Act defences (including unfair relationship allegations under CCA § 140A), and applications for injunctive relief (including freezing orders, and asset protection and third party possession orders).
