The Southampton office of national law firm Clarke Willmott LLP achieved impressive rankings once again in the 2027 edition of the Chambers and Partners UK Guide.
The office is ranked in five practice areas in this year’s guide, with Real Estate in Band 2; Banking and Finance and Agriculture and Rural Affairs in Band 3; and Litigation and Employment in Band 4.
Meanwhile seven Southampton lawyers were named in the individual rankings, with CEO Peter Swinburn named ‘Eminent Practitioner’, Philip Whitcomb in Band 3 and Rich Eldridge, Joe Campbell and Marc Long ranked in Band 4.
Two lawyers appeared in the guide, which identifies and ranks the best legal talent in the UK, for the first time. Andrew Cooper ranked in Band 5 and Kristian Johnson named ‘Up and Coming’, both for their Real Estate work.
Nationally, the firm is ranked in 32 practice areas across its seven regional offices, with five practice areas achieving a Band 1 ranking in the prestigious guide, namely Agriculture and Rural Affairs; Corporate/M&A: £5 million and above; Family/Matrimonial; Professional Negligence: Mainly Claimant; and Real Estate Litigation.
The recently released 2027 edition also listed 76 individual recommendations for Clarke Willmott people, an increase of three on 2026, with six new rankings and seven improved rankings.
