Clarke Willmott announces London promotions

Clarke Willmott has made a raft of internal promotions as part of its commitment to people development, with three London lawyers included in the announcement.

Damian Pitts has been promoted to partner in the financial services litigation team and Jamie Swan has been made a partner in the non-contentious construction team.

In housing management Emily Hope has made the transition from solicitor to associate.

Priscilla Hall, head of Clarke Willmott’s London office said: “This series of promotions across several of our teams not only demonstrates our people development, it also shows the strengthening of our London office as a whole. Having more senior team members on hand is great for our clients and for junior members of the team.”

New CEO of Clarke Willmott, Peter Swinburn, said: “I’m pleased to announce this year’s internal promotions. As always, this is an opportunity to recognise the strength of talent and diversity we have across the firm. It’s a pleasure to see how those being promoted have already stepped up in readiness for their new roles. Our people sit at the centre of our success and the excellent client service we offer. Ensuring their development is fundamental and part of creating a great people experience. The people we promote have all shown the skills, talent and aptitude vital for us to take advantage of future opportunities.”

Daniel Jones, Clarke Willmott’s director of human resources, said: “I am delighted that of the 29 lawyers promoted nationally, 20 are women. It demonstrates our commitment to building an inclusive and equitable environment where everyone can reach their full potential.”
