Senior associate Clare Jones has been appointed to the North West Women in Social Housing (WISH) board.

Clare, who is a member of Clarke Willmott’s housing management team in Manchester, has worked in the social housing sector since qualifying in 2018.

She advises social landlords in relation to housing conditions claims, along with other housing matters, and provides specialised support in relation to litigated housing conditions claims and strategy.

WISH is a membership-based networking community for women in housing, offering events, initiatives, and activities designed to support and empower each other in achieving career success.

Clarke Willmott is a corporate plus member of WISH and has additional board members in the West Midlands (Neelam Sharma) and South West (Vickie James), further demonstrating Clarke Willmott’s commitment to equality in the sector.

Clare Jones will now play a key role in shaping the programme of activity on offer to WISH members in the North West.

“I am excited and honoured to be given this new role among a 500-strong community of women housing professionals,” she says.

“WISH plays a vital role in empowering women in the housing sector by creating initiatives that foster opportunities, promote leadership and drive positive change. Our firm’s values align well to WISH’s goals, which is one of the reasons why partnering with WISH is a good fit for us.”

Clarke Willmott’s social housing sector is one of the largest in the UK, delivering a one stop-shop of legal support to the sector.
