Colleagues from Clarke Willmott LLP’s Manchester office took on the AJ Bell Manchester 10K race on 31 May, raising funds for Rise Up!, a local charity dedicated to tackling youth unemployment and supporting young people into the world of work.
A team of runners from the firm’s Manchester office participated in the city centre race, demonstrating Clarke Willmott’s continued commitment to community engagement and responsible business.
Those who took part included Harriet Atkin (partner, construction), Bethany Brown (solicitor, construction), Paige Atherton (solicitor, family), Lavania Xavier Rajan (solicitor, corporate & commercial), Matthew Dootson (partner, corporate & commercial), Ed Foulkes (partner, corporate & commercial) and Mark Christie (partner, construction).
All funds raised will go to Manchester-based Rise Up!, enabling the charity to continue its important work supporting young people and helping them develop the skills, confidence and experience needed to access sustainable career opportunities.
Through practical training and mentorship, the charity creates real pathways into employment, empowering young people to overcome barriers and build long-term independence. To date, Rise Up! has supported more than 818 young people across the North West, delivered over 812 hours of one-to-one coaching and secured 89 work placements.
Clarke Willmott’s Manchester office, which has been part of the city’s professional landscape for more than 15 years, has a long-standing commitment to creating an environment where its people feel valued and supported.
