Jo is a Senior Associate in our London Social Housing Team specialising in development and commercial property transactions.
Jo’s expertise includes working with many different housing associations and charities around the UK, including g15 members.
Jo joined Clarke Willmott in 2017 after working at Devonshires Solicitors and as an in-house lawyer at Kent County Council.
Jo is a member of Women in Property.
Jo advised a major North West city-centre housing association on their flagship extracare and mixed use development, leading a multi-disciplinary team and working closely with her client, the local authority and other stakeholders to close the transaction and achieve delivery of the development objectives for the Board
Jo advised a g15 housing association on their participation in a section 106 development scheme in Central London, agreeing terms with the housebuilder to achieve the delivery of affordable homes. Jo remained as the advisor post-completion and was there to assist her client’s wider team throughout the project evolution and different stages of the scheme
Jo has a track record of advising housing associations on rights of light situations, working with clients and developers to secure settlement agreements and advising on strategy for development schemes that carry rights of light risks. Jo has recently achieved beneficial financial settlements for a g15 housing association on properties near developments in the City of London and Covent Garden
Jo advised a major South East housing association looking to buy a portfolio of tenanted homes through a competitive tender process with g15 housing association. Jo lead a multi-disciplined team to deliver the transfer of the property and other assets to the agreed timetable.
