About our Southampton office

We’ve been working from Southampton since 2001. The spectrum of services we offer is broad and many of our clients draw on our expertise for all their legal needs. It makes for a concise and harmonic way of working where, by understanding the bigger picture, we can provide the best possible legal advice.

We work with businesses and individuals throughout the surrounding areas, including more than 25 Solent 250 companies, and our out-of-town location helps us stay flexible.

We have colleagues working with us who are in their first year as well as those who have been with us for over 30. We like the balance; it allows us to offer our clients a proven combination of experience and new, innovative ways of thinking.

When it comes to commercial law, we specialise in retail and support several prominent brands. Clarke Willmott’s business tax specialist is based in Southampton, and we also have our own notary public.

We have one of the largest commercial property teams in the region and our clients include developers, investors, retailers, lending institutions and local authorities. Our team of social housing lawyers work closely with our London office and specialise in both development and management.

The commercial and private client litigation team can support you whatever disputes you may have.

As part of a national law firm, our local expertise is supported by our colleagues across England and Wales offering a wide range of business and private client legal services to our clients.

Our work in the community

The current office charity is No Limits. No Limits support vulnerable young people in Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton with a range of areas such as work club and employability, housing, money, sexual health and mental health and much more.

As an office, our corporate social responsibility is important to us and we raise money through bake sales, holding fundraising events, and by offering our support by attending their events. These have included supermarket bag packs, quiz nights and charity balls.

The more active approaches our staff have taken to raise money for the hospice include sponsored 10K’s and half marathons, swimming from the Isle of Wight to Portsmouth, and trekking the Indian Himalayas.
