Clarke Willmott LLP has been recognised at this year’s South West Business Insider Dealmakers Awards, winning the Environmental Social and Governance Deal of the Year.
Bethan Evans, banking and finance partner, led on the deal which involved the purchase of 422 acres of commercial farmland by Avon Needs Trees for the creation of a 100,000 – tree woodland. This deal was also nominated in the Large Deal of the Year (£25m+) category, along with the Management Buy Out of XYZ Machine Tools, on which Clarke Willmott also advised.
The firm, which has offices in Bristol and Taunton, was also highly commended in the ESG Deal category for the sale of Bristol & Avon Group Ltd. to Heidelberg Materials UK as well as being shortlisted for Law Firm of the Year.
This year’s awards were presented at a gala dinner at Bristol’s Marriott City Centre Hotel and hosted by comedian Lucy Porter.
