Medical negligence

is when a medical or healthcare professional fails to provide treatment at the standard considered reasonable for their experience and specialism; they fail in their ‘duty of care’ – with life changing consequences for the patient. This is usually by doing something they shouldn’t have or not doing something they should have.

So, if you or a loved one believe you’ve come to serious harm at the hands of a surgeon, doctor, midwife, GP, optician or any other healthcare professional, you could be due compensation.

Surgical negligence claims

Undergoing surgery can be daunting enough, but when something goes wrong the consequences can be devastating. If a mistake or complication that could have been avoided has worsened your condition, prolonged your recovery or left you needing more surgery or with an ongoing injury, you may be able to bring a surgical negligence claim.

Orthopaedic and missed fracture claims

Missed fracture compensation claims are relatively common because some bone injuries have a very narrow window in which to diagnose and treat the fracture to ensure proper healing.

If a bone fracture is missed or misdiagnosed, it can cause serious complications, such as disfigurement, disability or severe infection, and the injured person may be entitled to compensation.

Misdiagnosis claims

If you or a loved one have suffered severe illness or injuries after being wrongly diagnosed, diagnosed too late or not diagnosed at all, you may be entitled to claim compensation for misdiagnosis.

Maternity negligence

Our medical negligence solicitors have helped many mothers who have experienced preventable life-changing complications during pregnancy or childbirth pursue a successful maternity negligence claim and secure compensation to cover private remedial surgery and treatments.
