Rebecca recently acted for the executors of a multi million pound cross border estate with assets and liabilities in several jurisdictions which was subject to a Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 claim, involved the sale of a group of limited companies and negotiation with HMRC in connection with lifetime tax avoidance schemes.
Rebecca has acted for the executors of the estate of a Lloyds name. The estate administration involved not only dealing with the Lloyds underwriting business but also the sale of several private family businesses, winding up various family trusts and the variation of the terms of the Will.
Rebecca has recently advised a high net worth family on the creation of some family charitable trusts and the settling of private company shares into a series of family trusts for the future generations of the family, giving advice as to the most tax efficient structures, while achieving equality and independence for the various beneficiaries.
