Nicole Adams is a Senior Associate in Clarke Willmott’s Southampton Employment & HR Team. She has considerable experience of advising both employees and employers in respect of all contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
Nicole regularly advises in respect of restrictive covenants and settlement agreements.
Nicole advises employers on all aspects of the employment relationship including recruitment, disciplinary and grievance procedures, restructures, sickness absence, performance management processes and collective consultation obligations. Nicole is also an experienced trainer and presenter. She regularly conducts training seminars for HR professionals on employment law topics and offers on-site training to schools. She also has experience of acting on behalf of employees entering into settlement agreements.
Nicole qualified in 2010 and joined Clarke Willmott in August 2016.
As keen rider and horse owner, and having previously worked as a groom, Nicole is able to combine her knowledge of the equine sector and employment law to provide comprehensive and practical advice to those in this niche sector.
Employment Tribunal work – Nicole has successfully represented a wide range of clients at the Employment Tribunal. Claims covered include unfair dismissal, employment status disputes, discrimination, whistleblowing and redundancy issues.
Education sector – Nicole has particular experience of representing schools and academies on a range of matters. She is also an experienced investigating officer, handling sensitive staff issues with academic institutions.
Subject Access Requests – Nicole is able to advise and assist employers dealing with subject access requests.
