Jackie is the Professional Support Lawyer for the Private Capital team and, as such, is responsible for the organisation of the team’s know how, precedents and other resources. In addition to drafting a reference bank of Clarke Willmott Private Capital knowledge documents, Jackie provides training to the team on the use of the precedents and keeps the Practice Groups in the team updated on legal developments. She also writes the client focused “LawBites” on topics of interest which are regularly posted on the website and is the author of our Family Wealth Blog. Jackie writes the material for the extranet for financial intermediaries and produces, in conjunction with others in the Knowledge Management team, the bi-monthly Wealth, Health and Inheritance Briefing. She is also involved in the creation of supporting materials and precedents for the team’s Products.
Jackie joined Clarke Willmott LLP in January 2015 having trained as a solicitor with Osborne Clarke, where she spent two years after qualifying working as a Private Client lawyer specialising in Wills, Probate, trusts and lifetime tax planning. She was a Partner in a niche Private Client firm in Wiltshire for 13 years, before becoming a Consultant with another Wiltshire based firm. During this period Jackie began developing her career in the knowledge management field, initially by specialising in writing articles on legal topics of interest to private clients.
