Pastries and Pension Drawdowns

Clarke Willmott is delighted to invite you to Pastries and Pension Drawdowns, the first of our 2024 series of roundtable discussions with local financial services practitioners, which is taking place on Thursday 9 May 2024 at 9:30am.

Networking and a delicious selection of coffees, pastries and breakfast rolls will accompany an informative discussion surrounding current events, regulatory updates and hot topics in the financial services industry.

Event information

In this session, Laura Robinson, partner, Mamunul Wahid, associate and Meg Kirkwood, chartered legal executive, will be discussing:

  • The FCA’s concerns surrounding drawdowns. We will be taking a look at:
    • Why the FCA has turned its focus to decumulation strategies
    • The insight that the FCA may have gained from BSPS and
    • The need for their thematic review.
  • Claims, complaints and outcomes we’ve seen. We’ll run you through a sample of disputes that have arisen between consumers and advisers concerning drawdown, and the outcomes.
  • Avoiding problems. We will be offering some top tips to avoid claims and complaints in this area.

We hope you can make it
