This event is hosted by Paula Squire (Partner and Head of Taunton’s Employment & HR team) and Juliette Staunton (Senior HR Consultant), with guest speakers Jon Cowell (Chairman) and Johannah Palmer (Data Protection and Information Security Practitioner) of Edgecumbe Consulting.

As always, our popular session will include practical information, essential action points and hands on tips, accompanied by a delicious buffet lunch selection.

• Paula Squire will guide you through essential employment law updates that are not to be missed.  Paula will also focus on dealing with dismissals for short serving staff and unsuccessful new recruits – including what process should be followed, quick short cuts or a red flag
• Juliette Staunton will be exploring the subjects of recruitment and retention and will cover her top tips for hiring and retaining great talent.
• Talent management experts Edgecumbe will offer their valuable insights into psychometric testing, including how they can significantly reduce people costs, provide objective evidence to reduce bias and discrimination in hiring decisions, support employee engagement by encouraging self-development and can be used safely under GDPR.
