Clarke Willmott’s Taunton office has hosted a summer drinks event for clients, contacts and staff at a historic venue.

Clarke Willmott’s Taunton office hosted the event at the Museum of Somerset within the grounds of Taunton Castle.

The event, which was organised as a thank you to clients and suppliers, was the first of its kind since 2018, with various factors including the pandemic meaning the once popular gathering couldn’t take place until now.

Attendees enjoyed networking time as well as refreshments and speeches were given by Kirill Bingham, head of the Taunton office and Peter Swinburn, Clarke Willmott’s CEO.

Kirill Bingham, said: “This event provided a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the face-to-face interaction we have missed out on for so long.

We have a great crop of new talent in the Taunton office, bringing fresh energy and vigour to the firm as well as new ideas which will help us grow. It is important for us to introduce those new team members to our valued clients and contacts.

“We have welcomed two new partners and five new lawyers in the last year and we’ve recently celebrated the promotion of two partners, five senior associates and three associates. Our office is going from strength to strength and it was great to take a moment to reflect and celebrate our successes.”

CEO Peter Swinburn said: “Taunton has always been our spiritual home and has a uniquely important place in our firm’s heart. We have been a law firm in this region for over 130 years and we intend to further strengthen our commitment to the area in the years to come.”
