National law firm Clarke Willmott LLP has announced the return of Housing Week, its annual free webinar series designed to help housing associations, local authorities and other registered providers stay ahead of the legal, regulatory and operational challenges shaping the sector.
Taking place from 13 to 15 October 2026, Housing Week will bring together specialists from one of the UK’s largest social housing legal teams to provide practical guidance and expert analysis on some of the most pressing issues facing social landlords.
Now in its sixth year, the free online event has become a key diary date for housing professionals seeking legal insight into rapidly evolving areas of regulation, governance, asset management, development and housing management.
This year’s programme includes dedicated sessions covering topics linked to some of the sector’s most significant challenges, including Awaab’s Law, the Social Housing Bill, antisocial behaviour enforcement following the introduction of Respect Orders, procurement reform, development, commonhold and data protection.
Among the highlights is a session examining Awaab’s Law one year on, exploring legal developments and preparations for future implementation phases. Another housing management update will consider the implications of the Social Housing Bill, the Crime and Policing Act and emerging case law affecting landlord decision-making and tenancy management.
The programme will also address issues at the forefront of development and asset management strategies, including the impact of Awaab’s Law on land acquisition decisions, alongside updates on funding, planning, procurement and contractor insolvency.
Housing Week comes at a time when social landlords continue to face increasing scrutiny around resident safety, damp and mould, building compliance, antisocial behaviour management and governance standards, while also balancing ambitious development and investment programmes.
