Clarke Willmott is delighted to announce that associate Sam Harkness has been recognised in the inaugural Somerset Future 30, a new initiative from Somerset Chamber of Commerce celebrating the county’s emerging business and community leaders.
The programme recognises 30 individuals aged under 30 who are already making a significant contribution to their organisation, industry or local community, while demonstrating the potential to become future leaders within Somerset. Following nominations from businesses and organisations across the county, an independent judging panel selected the final 30 from a strong field of entries.
Based in the firm’s Taunton office, Sam advises private clients and businesses facing criminal and regulatory prosecutions, including road traffic prosecutions, serious crime, firearms cases, animal welfare cases and local authority prosecutions. Outside of work, Sam acts as a Changemaker ambassador for the Sutton Trust, an internationally-recognised social mobility charity, and serves as a director of Taunton Town Football Club.
His inclusion in the Somerset Future 30 highlights both his professional achievements and his contribution to the legal sector in the region.
Commenting on the recognition, Sam said: I’m delighted to be recognised as part of the inaugural Somerset Future 30 – I was not expecting the nomination and was even more surprised to be shortlisted. Somerset has some quality legal firms and a really bright future ahead of it, one which I cannot wait to be part of.”
The Somerset Future 30 winners will be celebrated at a special event hosted by Somerset Chamber of Commerce later this year.
