National law firm Clarke Willmott LLP has been reappointed to the Housing Associations’ Legal Alliance (HALA) Legal Services framework, securing places on four lots and expanding the firm’s ability to support housing provider clients across a broader range of legal services.

The HALA Legal Services framework provides members with access to specialist legal advisers across a range of practice areas. The latest framework comprises seven lots covering key legal disciplines for housing providers, including corporate and governance, finance, housing management, property and construction services.

Clarke Willmott has retained its positions on Lot 1, covering Corporate, Governance & Finance, and Lot 2, covering Housing & Asset Management. The firm has also secured new appointments to Lot 4, Commercial Property, and Lot 5, Residential Property.

The appointments reinforce Clarke Willmott’s long-standing commitment to the social housing sector and recognise the breadth of expertise the firm provides to housing providers across governance, finance, housing management and property matters.

Lindsay Felstead, partner and social housing sector co-lead at Clarke Willmott, said: “We are delighted to have been reappointed to the HALA Legal Services Framework and particularly pleased to have expanded our position by securing places on Lots 4 and 5 alongside our existing appointments on Lots 1 and 2.

“Housing providers continue to operate in an increasingly challenging environment, balancing regulatory expectations, investment in existing homes, development ambitions and financial pressures, while maintaining their focus on residents and communities.

“Our reappointment reflects the strength of our team, our understanding of the sector and the trusted relationships we have built with housing providers across the country. We are proud to continue supporting HALA members with their legal needs and helping them navigate the opportunities and challenges facing the sector.

“We look forward to working with both existing and new members throughout the life of the framework and delivering practical, commercially focused advice that helps them achieve their strategic objectives.”

Clarke Willmott is recognised as a leading adviser to the social housing sector, supporting housing providers, local authorities and other registered providers across a full range of legal services. Its expanded presence on the HALA framework further strengthens the firm’s ability to provide strategic legal support to organisations delivering vital housing services and investing in communities across the UK.
