Helen joined Clarke Willmott in 2008 after working at Bevan Brittan LLP.
On behalf of Raglan Housing, Helen has recently negotiated development agreements and transfers relating to 38, 18 and 13 units respectively on three sites in Leicestershire. The transactions were conducted swiftly and Helen completed all due diligence and drafting negotiations in a commercial and sensible manner, enabling exchange of contracts within only 2-3 weeks of being first instructed by the client.
Helen has recently negotiated and concluded the acquisition of two large development sites for Devon & Cornwall Housing. The legal documentation included complex but concise arrangements to enable a subsale structure and to facilitate the acquisition of further land to meet infrastructure needs and to create future rights for the client to lay major infrastructure on neighbouring land.
Helen is advising Eagle One Limited on the strategic acquisition of land for the development of a large new science park development in Exeter. This has involved the drafting and negotiation of a variety of purchase contracts, land exchanges and option agreements dealing with issues such as the planning process, major infrastructure works and overage.
A privately funded developer has instructed Helen for many years with regard to a large mixed use development scheme in Hampshire. Helen has been working with her client since acquisition of the bare site many years ago to ensure that the development value of the site is preserved and, where possible, enhanced as the scheme progresses towards completion.
