Sylvie is a solicitor in Clarke Willmott’s first-tier Proper Litigation team advising on a wide range of commercial property matters including 1954 Act lease renewals (opposed and unopposed), dilapidations, break notices, recovery of rent arrears and other breaches of lease, forfeiture, service charge disputes, and telecommunications.

Sylvie joined Clarke Willmott as a paralegal in 2021 and then went on to complete her training contract with the firm, qualifying in 2023.

Sylvie regularly acts for commercial landlords and tenants, using her knowledge and experience to provide practical and strategic advice on a wide range of property related issues, including:

  • Dealing with opposed and unopposed lease renewals for both landlords and tenants
  • Advising on and exercising break clauses for both landlord and tenant clients including advice on the validity of break notices and on the conditions that need to be satisfied in order to successfully exercise the break.
  • Dealing with interim and terminal dilapidation claims, including serving schedules of dilapidations and advising on re-instatement obligations;
  • Dealing with trespass claims and securing possession, particularly against travellers;
  • Advising landonwers on the Electronic Communications Code and the removal of telecoms equipment from land to facilitate redevelopment.
