Paige Atherton

Paige specialises in family law, advising clients though some of the most significant and sensitive periods of their lives. Her practice focuses on achieving practical and constructive outcomes for her clients.

Paige regularly advises on divorce and financial settlements, helping clients to navigate the division of assets including property, pensions, businesses and other complex financial arrangements. She also has experience with applications to vary or set aside financial settlements, where circumstances have changed or where the original agreement requires reconsideration.

Paige also advises parents in relation to children matters, including navigating court proceedings relating to living arrangements, contact and parental decision-making. She approaches these matters with a strong focus of the welfare of the child while supporting clients through what can be emotionally challenging disputes.

Paige also advises on disputes involving unmarried couples, including financial claims for children under Schedule 1 and property disputes under TOLATA. Her aim is to provide clear advice on rights and options where legal protections can be less straightforward than in marriage.

In addition to resolving disputes, Paige works proactively with client’s on relationship agreements, including pre-nuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and separation agreements. These arrangements can provide clarity and security for couples by setting out financial expectations and reducing the potential for future conflict.

Paige’s approach combines strategic legal advice with a pragmatic understanding of the personal and financial pressures that often accompany family disputes.
