Clarke Willmott advises on acquisition of IFA software business Newdez Ltd

National law firm Clarke Willmott LLP has advised software as a service (SaaS) business Newdez Ltd. on its acquisition by Fintel plc.

Based in Southampton, Newdez Ltd. was incorporated in June 2020, developed and subsequently launched at the end of 2021. The ifaDASH product provides an all-in-one unique to market solution which provides one industry specific platform for the data, so that it can link all parts of the business including the CRM in one place, providing evidenced MI so that management can focus on their business.

Fintel plc is a technology and support provider to the retail financial services sector and is based in Huddersfield.

Clarke Willmott acted for Newdez shareholders Mark and Sandy Newman on the sale, for 70 per cent of the business’s share capital to Fintel plc.

The Clarke Willmott team that worked on the deal was led by corporate partner Stephen Jarman, assisted by trainee solicitor Chloe Santiago, plus Sarah Coe, partner in the commercial team, and employment partner Louise Rogers.

Mark/Sandy Newman said:

Having dealt with acquisitions in the past, corporately and personally, we understand the importance of having the right legal lead for the transaction.

Stephen Jarman is exceptional in his expertise, guidance and support with a no jargon approach and from the off, actively managed the process seamlessly. The further support from Chloe, Sarah and Louise was invaluable, all with their own specialisms and all were available to us every step of the way. We are delighted and excited to be part of the Fintel family and deliver our offering to remove the complexities within the industry and provide better outcomes for our clients.”

Stephen Jarman added: “Newdez’s flagship product ifaDASH links all the components of a financial services business, enabling them to monitor, control and grow their business, and we are immensely proud to have supported the business through this transaction.

This is the latest in a series of acquisitions for Fintel and will help the business with the digitisation of its compliance proposition.
