Multiple fracture compensation claims

Compensation for broken bones

Fracture claims often include, but are not limited to:

  • Arm or arms (humerus and ulna)
  • Shoulder (clavicle and scapula)
  • Chest (ribs)
  • Wrist (radius)
  • Leg or legs (tibia, fibula and femur)

Multiple fractures and broken bones can have a significant impact on your ability to live your life independently. You are likely to need significant levels of care in the early stages of rehabilitation and possibly require urgent financial support.

Whilst the majority of injuries involving fractures will affect only one or bones, in the case of very serious accidents such as high speed road collisions or falls from height, a large number of bones might be broken. In such cases it’s important to consider the effect on the injured party’s life and work of each discrete injury. Some fractures will heal quickly without complication but others, such as comminuted or displaced fractures, may result in an incomplete union of the bone, and perhaps involve surgery to insert metalwork to support and help unite the fracture.

Orthopaedic surgeons will almost always be involved in the assessment and treatment of fractures, and in some cases other experts may become involved, for example Neurologists or Neuro-Surgeons where there has been associated nerve damage.

How our injury lawyers can help

We have a long history of acting for clients who have claimed compensation for broken bones and multiple fractures sustained in motorcycle accidents, car accident, at work and generally as a result of the negligence of others.

We will work with the medico-legal Consultants and treating doctors to ensure that any rehabilitation [internal link – rehabilitation page] needs are met, and ensure that all avenues are explored with the aim of getting you back to work and to full function as soon as possible. Both NHS and private medical treatment may be necessary to achieve the best possible outcome.

We will help you to rebuild your life, obtain the best medical care and treatment and maximise the compensation due to you for your past and future losses.
