Lynn joined the Property Litigation Team at Clarke Willmott in March 2024.
Lynn specialises in leasehold management of residential properties and her work includes service charge disputes, section 20 consultation and dispensation, the right to manage, statutory variation of leases, forfeiture and possession, lease interpretation and advice on shared ownership leases. She also assists clients on certain tenancy matters, such as rent increase notices and service charge issues. Lynn has particular expertise in the social housing sector and has advised registered providers for several years.
She has represented clients in the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber), the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber) and the Court of Appeal in relation to many of the above issues.
For many years, Lynn has taken a keen interest in leasehold reform and was on the Law Commission’s advisory board for their consultation on lease extension and enfranchisement. She was also a member of the Law Commission’s panel at their Northwest symposium on Commonhold.
Lynn often presents on matters relating to leasehold management and has spoken at conferences run by the NLG, the NHF and the RICS.
