Laura is a Solicitor based in our Taunton office in the private capital team. Laura joined Clarke Wilmott in January 2025 after obtaining her Law Degree at the University of Liverpool and completing the Legal Practice Course with BPP University before qualifying as a Solicitor in March 2023.
Laura is currently working towards becoming a fully qualified member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is currently studying the STEP Diploma.
Laura assists executors on all aspects of estate administration including estates with agricultural assets, business assets, reporting to HMRC on gifts made in lifetime as well as working with our Litigation Department on estates that are contentious.
Laura can help you with:
- Applying for Grant of Probate / Grant of Letters of Administration
- Advising on inheritance tax and reliefs and exemptions available (including gifts out of income)
- Dealing with intestate estates (where someone passes away without a Will)
- Dealing with estate distributions and transfer of assets to those entitled under the Will
