Kate is a Partner and is Head of the Home Sales team. The Home Sales team is based in our Taunton and Bristol offices.
As well as managing a team of more than 35 people, Kate is focused on optimising efficiencies and accuracy for both her team and her clients. She does this by working closely with her clients to understand their requirements. Kate’s expertise includes acquisition of development land as well as home sales. Kate joined Clarke Willmott in 2017 after working in the Real Estate team at Foot Anstey for over two years, both progressing transactions and managing the team. Kate has also worked for Shoosmiths in Birmingham and Goodman Harvey in Manchester specialising in Commercial Property for large residential developers.
Experience
- Kate has experience of site acquisitions and disposals, option agreements, joint venture agreements, conditional contracts, leases, agreements for lease, licences to carry out works, development agreements, transfers of businesses as going concerns, deeds of surrender and property finance documentation.. Kate has worked on a wide variety of projects such as development agreements, leases of investment and retail properties and a £160 million development to include hotels, office, retail, bars, restaurants and residential use in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
- Kate has worked for a number of commercial and residential developers including Alfred McAlpine Limited, UK Land and Property Limited, CTP Limited, Kendrick Homes, Parkridge Homes and David McLean Homes in respect of site acquisitions and disposals, option agreements, joint venture agreements, conditional contracts, leases, agreements for lease, licences to carry out works, development agreements and deeds of surrender.
- As well as working with national and local housebuilders (Persimmon, Barratts, David Wilson Homes) Kate works with a number of national, regional and local social housing clients (Clarion, Metropolitan, Sovereign, Yarlington and Devon and Cornwall Housing).
- Kate is involved in reviewing and drafting precedent legal documents for use by the team in both open market and shared ownership set ups.
