Isobel is responsible for assisting Clarke Willmott’s two panel deputies Anthony Fairweather and Anne Minihane.
Isobel’s skills lie in:
Working with families, care providers, government bodies, benefits agencies, financial institutions, professional advisers, local authorities and other professional bodies to assist people who cannot manage their own finances, for reasons such as mental incapacity, mental illness or following a severe personal injury.
Isobel has experience in making applications to the Court of Protection for clients who may require an appointed Deputy to manage their personal affairs
Upon appointment of a professional deputy, Isobel provides assistance by:
Using accountancy skills for reconciling clients accounts
Arranging insurance for clients assets
Liaising with the litigation team dealing with any associated ongoing personal injury claim
Making enquiries about clients entitlement to benefits with benefits agencies
Ensuring clients bills are paid
Administrating payroll to privately employed care teams
Speaking to financial advisors and financial institutions on behalf of the client
Liaising with clients family members, case managers and care providers to ensure the clients needs are being met
Where applicable, supporting an application for care funding for the client, e.g. direct payments
Preparing and submitting the clients annual deputy report to the Office of the Public Guardian
