IT Trainer – Bristol
To provide formal and informal IT training in Microsoft Office and specialist legal software to staff in all of the firm’s offices.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT trainer to join our IT team in our Bristol office. Joining a team of three, the training function sits within the wider IT team which currently consists of 14 people.
This role will see you delivering our IT induction training as well as training on projects and additional on-going support to staff at all levels through a variety of training methods. Although based in Bristol, regular travel will be required to support our offices in Birmingham, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton and Taunton. You will need to be familiar with delivering training either on an individual basis or within groups as well as having the ability to run workshops or standard courses as required.
Online training is becoming a key part of the training function and you will be required to design and develop training content to support internal projects and staff development programmes.
You will be involved with the planning and co-ordination of the training programmes that we run and will be required to liaise with other internal teams on a frequent basis. You will also find yourself liaising with external IT providers to identify and resolve any training related issues in order to provide the timely and appropriate support as required.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all of the firm’s IT training materials, such as, course outlines, lesson plans and user guides and handouts are kept up to date and reviewed on a regular basis, refining and developing as appropriate. This will be via a range of methods, for example, feedback from recent attendees or through regular contact with internal teams.
Each course that is run internally needs to be evaluated in accordance with the firm’s Investors in People award and any appropriate amendments to the training need to be followed up.
Finally, this role will see you participating in new and ongoing IT projects to help ensure that the firm makes best use of its investment in IT. You will be expected to provide general assistance on any IT related matters as required.

You will be a confident communicator with the ability to communicate with people at all levels. Excellent presentation skills are essential. You will need the ability to work with minimum supervision and a good sense of humour is always welcomed!
Ideally, you will have at least two years’ experience of delivering training to delegates with a wide range of abilities and preferably within a legal environment.
You will have experience in delivering training on MS Office 2010 with MOS certification and the ability to use tools such as Captivate to create, design and edit online training materials is essential.
A formal training qualification or equivalent is also desirable.
