The IT project manager will take on a pivotal role leading the delivery of a varied and exciting portfolio of IT projects. You will be an experienced project manager with a proven record delivering positive results, with a background in business change or infrastructure projects being a distinct advantage.

Reporting to the head of IT, the IT project manager will work with the IT management team and the business to ensure the portfolio of IT projects is delivered in a timely and cost effective fashion.
There is an interesting variety of upgrade, refresh and renewal work, alongside some exciting and innovative business change where technology will influence and enhance the service provided by our lawyers and support professionals based in 7 UK offices.
You will build a consistent project methodology from initiation through to delivery and on into live service, including scope, objective and deliverables, and the project plans and document set to support.
We will look to you to manage and prioritise the project portfolio, and work closely with the business to ensure that all projects are delivered with minimum fuss and maximum value.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Prince2 foundation (or equivalent) – qualification to Prince2 practitioner level (or equivalent) is desirable
- Law firm experience is preferable but professional service and/or partnership experience is essential
- Good knowledge of IT, including development lifecycle
- Experience of managing a project portfolio
- Ability and willingness to deal with shifting priorities, demands and timelines
- Able to work autonomously and to schedule your own resource appropriately.
We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic project manager with a sense of humour and perspective who can juggle a busy workload in our talented IT team. You will have excellent communication skills and we expect you to be ITIL literate.
You will be highly driven, motivated, exceptionally organised and proactive, with a can-do attitude, and someone who takes pride in your ability to multi task and thrive under pressure. You will be someone who looks for ways to improve systems and has ideas for solving problems
Previous experience of working within a similar IT based role is essential for this role. If you have experience of working for a law firm, this would be a significant benefit. Similarly, experience of managing/maintaining budgets would also be advantageous.
