Abbie Rathbone

Abbie Rathbone is a solicitor in our housing management team. Specialising in housing disrepair with an extensive background in litigation advising social housing providers and landlords on defending complex claims whilst managing litigation risk.

What distinguishes Abbie is her experience acting on both sides of housing disrepair disputes. Having previously represented tenants before moving into defendant work, she has a detailed understanding of how claimant firms assess, prepare and pursue claims. This insight enables her to identify key strengths, weaknesses and opportunities at an early stage helping clients develop effective strategies and achieving commercially sensible outcomes.

Abbie is recognised for her tactical approach, strong litigation skills and the ability to deliver clear strategic advice tailored to her client’s objectives.

Abbie has also worked in other areas of practice such as medical and dental negligence, debt recovery and enforcement and personal injury. She has a particular interest in emerging legal and regulatory issues including financial crime, digital assets and cryptocurrency regulation having completed academic research at university during her legal studies.
