Designed to promote a better way for separating couples, highlighting the importance of a non-confrontational approach to divorce and separation. Good Divorce Week is an annual campaign run by Resolution, a community of more than 6,500 family justice professionals.

This year, Good Divorce Week highlights Resolution’s Code of Practice which asks members to reduce and manage conflict and confrontation and support and encourage families to put the best interests of any children first. Furthermore, to act with honesty, integrity and objectivity to help find lasting and workable solutions for everyone involved.

We at Clarke Willmott understand that separation and divorce can be an extremely difficult and challenging time and parties can often feel very emotionally charged. With our experienced team we aim to help clients understand, manage and navigate these difficult times and educate and inform them of all of the options available to them to achieve a fair, reasonable outcome.

There are a number of effective ways to reach an agreement with your spouse outside of the court process, with one option being a ‘one couple one lawyer’ approach to work positively and constructively with your spouse towards a resolution that works for you and all the family. If you are embarking on, or indeed already involved in the divorce or separation process and feel you could benefit from professional advice, please do not hesitate to contact our expert Family team. We are committed to the Resolution Code of Practice and strive to provide couples with a better way to divorce. We look forward to working with you.
