A local law firm has renewed its long-standing partnership with Taunton Rugby Club, becoming the club’s principal partner for the upcoming 25/26 season.

The Taunton office of national law firm Clarke Willmott LLP is the official shirt sponsor, after supporting the rugby club for over 10 years as part of its commitment to local community sport.

The Clarke Willmott logo will feature prominently on the club’s home and away kits, symbolising a strong alliance between one of the region’s leading law firms and one of its most ambitious rugby clubs.

“We’re thrilled to support Taunton Rugby Club as they continue to grow both on and off the pitch,” said Peter Swinburn, Chief Executive at Clarke Willmott. “This sponsorship reflects our ongoing investment in the local community and our belief in the power of sport to inspire, unite, and drive positive change.”

John Wrelton, Chairman of Taunton Rugby Club, said: “This is a fantastic moment for the club. Clarke Willmott is a respected name not just in Somerset but across the UK. Their support will help us build on recent successes and continue to deliver an outstanding experience for players, supporters and the wider community.”

Tony Yapp, Head Coach of Taunton Titans, added: “Having Clarke Willmott on board is a real boost for the squad. It’s more than just a logo on a shirt, it’s a sign of belief in what we’re building here. The players are proud to wear it.”

Ratu Vakalutukali, Club Captain, shared his excitement: “It’s great to see a firm like Clarke Willmott backing us. Their support gives us extra motivation going into the new season, and we’re looking forward to making them proud on the pitch.”

The new kits featuring Clarke Willmott branding will be unveiled ahead of the season opener on Friday, 5 September, when Taunton hosts Exeter University at Veritas Park. The opening month also includes key clashes against Hornets (away, 13 September), Hinckley (home, 20 September), and Barnstaple (home, 27 September), setting the stage for an exciting start to the campaign.
