Orbit reappoints Clarke Willmott to legal framework

Clarke Willmott has been reappointed onto the legal framework for Orbit, one of the UK’s largest providers of affordable housing.

The firm will be assisting Orbit with legal issues including tenancy servicesconstruction and developmentproperty asset management, finance/treasury, human resources, employment, governance and corporate.

The high value reappointment is for five years, with an option to extend for an additional year.

“Orbit is one of the UK’s leading affordable housing providers and combines a focused commercial outlook with a clear social purpose: ensuring safety and quality standards are met, adapting to new legislation and increasing engagement with its customers.”

Orbit manages around 46,500 affordable homes in in the Midlands, East and the South East of England and builds over 1,000 new affordable homes every year.

Clarke Willmott was initially appointed onto Orbit’s legal framework in January 2019. Earlier this year the solicitors acted on a deal which saw the transfer of 191 shared ownership homes from Orbit Group to Residential Secure Income plc (ReSI).
