Tomos is a Senior Associate in our commercial litigation and disputes practice group.
Tomos is an experienced litigator specialising in high value and complex disputes. He has experience across a broad range of domestic and international matters, in particular:-
- Banking / financial services disputes (including breach of statutory duties, professional negligence, asset recovery and fraud);
- Contractual disputes (including termination, misrepresentation, supply chain disputes, reputation management, defamation and injunctive relief); and
- Corporate / business disputes (including shareholder and partnership disputes, directors’ duties, breach of warranty/indemnity claims and cross-border legal issues).
Tomos also has extensive experience in public sector disputes, in particular: judicial reviews, public procurement and public inquiries.
He has wide experience of UK High Court proceedings, tribunal and professional conduct panel hearings and ADR (including mediation).
He has experience of acting for Claimants, Defendants and Interested Parties.
Experience
Tomos joined Clarke Willmott in 2025, having previously trained, qualified and practiced at Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP. At his previous firm, Tomos’ caseload included:
- acting for the defendant in a $93 million+ claim for alleged misfeasance in public office and inducement of breach of contract/fiduciary duty arising out of a criminal investigation of fraud, bribery and corruption, culminating in an 11-week trial amid widespread media coverage in the UK and abroad. The case was listed in The Lawyer’s Top 20 Cases of 2021;
- representing a statutory body in defending a judicial review challenge brought by two, prominent former members of the Labour Party;
- representing a large water company in defending a judicial review challenge concerning the client’s Water Resources Management Plan;
- acting for a French multinational company which supplies industrial gases and services in challenging the NHS’s decision to award a $100m+ home oxygen procurement contract to another tenderer;
- acting as legal adviser to a prominent regulator in professional conduct panel hearings;
- part of the team acting for Core Participants in both the Grenfell Tower and Post Office Horizon IT inquiries; and
- acting for financial institutions in bringing claims against professonals involved in lending transactions.
