How Matthew can help you
Although transacting for a wide range of house builders and land owners, Matthew’s particular focus is on “partnerships” developers – those that work with an end user (typically either a Registered Provider or Private Rental Sector partner) to secure land, planning permission and deliver a scheme of residential development. This model is far less risky than traditional development and is cash flow positive, as in almost every case the end user will fund the land purchase with the developer entering into a build contract on completion. Once the construction phase has commenced, the developer’s maximum risk exposure is usually one or two months’ works as construction works are typically paid for by way of monthly valuations. This type of work requires a high degree of coordination with the developer usually sitting in between the land owner and end user.
