Male Silhouette

Kevin is a highly experienced commercial property solicitor who has worked for the last 25 years with house builders, developers, promoters, land owners and social housing providers on all of the legal aspects of residential development work.

Kevin is known for being calm and measured, helping clients conclude legal transactions as quickly and efficiently as possible. His work includes the acquisition and disposal of development land, option agreements, promotion agreements, joint venture and collabration agreements, as well as the acquisition and sale of land for affordable housing.

In addition to working in private practice, Kevin also spent several years working in-house as Legal Director at one of the UK’s largest PLC house builders. This gives him a deeper understanding of the commercial considerations facing developers looking to build new houses.

Kevin acts for house builders, developers, promoters, land owners and social housing providers on all of the legal aspects of residential development work, with particular expertise in conditional contracts, option agreements and promotion agreements.

How Kevin can help you

Kevin has particular expertise and experience in advising developers and land owners on strategic land deals, whether through option agreements or promotion agreements. He brings a calmness to negotiations, focusing on the key issues for clients rather than trying to score points. This helps transactions progress smoothly and conclude more quickly.

Experience

Kevin acted for landowners on the £69 million sale of land in Tamworth to Persimmon Homes in late 2025, with planning permission for 1,270 homes (including 30% affordable housing), a 100-unit extra care facility, a local centre, a primary school, and sports pitches.

Kevin is a director of Glastonbeley CIC, a not-for-profit orgnisation which organises an annual music and community festival in Redditch. All monies raised from the festival each year are donated to local community groups, CICs and charities in Worcestershire. He is also pas-president of Worcestershire Law Society.
