Advising trustees, individuals and executors on various taxation issues, to include inheritance tax, capital gains tax, income tax and stamp duty land tax, looking both at the UK based implications but can address aspects with offshore elements when these arise.
Coming from having accounting and Chartered Tax qualifications Emma looks at client’s problems from a different approach taking into account both the legal implications and the tax triggers. Working closely with the clients to mitigate their tax liabilities from the outset in order to achieve their ultimate goal.
Emma is a Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians, Association of Taxation Technicians and a Chartered Tax Advisor via the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
How Emma can help you
Emma always looks at the bigger picture for the client whilst focusing closely on the matter at hand. For example when advising on the cessation of a Trust Emma will consider and advise on the implications for both the Trustees and the beneficiaries whilst ensuring that there is no conflict of interest between the parties.
Whilst a large part of Emma’s day to day role relate to Trusts and dealing with their ongoing administration and tax compliance; Emma deals with a range of clients to address one-off capital transactions, tax planning, individual’s self assessment returns and capital gains tax reporting.
Emma Barry really does know her stuff, but what I particularly enjoy is the quality of the interactions. Responses are always quick – often same day. Communication is always clear, and promises to do things at a future point have always been kept.
I have been very impressed with the service that Emma delivered and I would have no hesitation in recommending her to others.
