Clarke Willmott’s elephant in the room, Tula, has packed her trunk and is touring our offices over the winter to trumpet the importance of making time to talk about mental health. Join her to learn how to start a conversation with someone you care about.

Why are we doing this?

Every year, one in four people in the UK experience a mental health condition. This means that poor mental health is likely to affect everyone, either directly or indirectly, at some point in their life.

At Clarke Willmott, we’re committed to helping support our people’s mental health with resources available online 24/7, a team of mental health first aiders available in every office and free confidential support available for all from Law Care and CareFirst. We’re also members of the Mindful Business Charter, Mindful Employer Charter and have signed the Menopause at Work Pledge and Mental Health at Work Commitment.

But there’s always more we can do!

That’s why we’ve teamed up with ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM, founded by professional sportsman and media personality Brent Pope. By engaging people in designing and naming 3D elephants that visit workplaces and prompt honest conversations about mental wellbeing, Brent wants to challenge everyday stigmas around mental health and encourage people to be open about their own personal elephant in the room.

It’s OK not to feel OK sometimes…and it’s absolutely OK to talk about it or to ask for help
