We have an exciting opportunity for a Caseworker in our esteemed Court of Protection team, this is a hybrid role that’s based from our beautiful Bristol city centre office. In this role you’ll collaborate with families, professional advisers, and local authorities nationwide. This role provides a unique chance to work alongside our experts, offering practical advice and assistance for individuals unable to manage their finances due to reasons such as mental incapacity.

This role could be ideal for you if you have a background in court of protection work, accounting, administration, or the care sector. Maybe you have an interest in law and helping others but feel that progressing to solicitor isn’t quite for you.

About the role:

You’ll be responsible (under supervision) for managing the financial affairs of vulnerable individuals (in particular, those with limited mental capacity due to diagnosis of dementia). You’ll have daily interactions with clients, their families, care providers, government bodies, and local authorities. Your support will cover a wide range of issues, including care arrangements, financial planning, and management. Additionally, you’ll assist the team with various administrative duties.

We pride ourselves on being a sociable, friendly, and hardworking team that values work-life balance our working hours are 9am -5:30pm.

We also provide on the job training and yearly salary reviews, to ensure you’re provided with the tools you need to reach your full potential in the team.

This role is right for you if you have:

• Administration experience and have experience of using Microsoft Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic accountancy skills OR good numeracy Skills
• Excellent organisational skills, and can be efficient, and accurate in a busy and varied role.
• Professionalism, personal touch, honesty, and integrity, these traits are part of your ethos and are essential for this role.

We are open to candidates from various backgrounds; prior experience in Court of Protection, Accounting, Financial planning, or the Care sector is advantageous but not essential.

Your attitude, personality fit, and interest/knowledge in court of protection work matter most. Training will be provided to ensure your success.
