Alfie is a Solicitor in the firm’s Commercial Property group. He has been with the firm since 2022 and has built up a diverse range of experience across several key client sectors including real estate investment, retail & leisure and charities.
Alfie advises owners, occupiers, borrowers and funders on their property matters. He prides himself on providing excellent client service, alongside prompt and commercial advice. Clients have praised his clear communication and his dedication to bringing transactions to a timely completion.
Alfie’s experience includes advising corporate occupiers on new and renewal leases, as well as acting for landlords on their leasing deals. By taking on a mixture of work from both sides of the landlord/tenant divide, across the whole of the UK, Alfie has gained great exposure to the wider market as well as an appreciation for the key commercial drivers for landlord and tenants alike.
As well as leasehold work, Alfie also acts for those acquiring or disposing of freehold assets, including clients in the public and charity sectors.
Alongside corporate clients, Alfie also advises family-owned and SME businesses on their property matters, including the acquisition of land for development. He advises on commercial mortgages and development loans, having acted for the mainstream clearing banks and more bespoke private lenders.

- Advising the trustees of a large charitable trust corporation responsible for over 100 properties on several property acquisitions and dispsals, as well as associated charity law requirements which apply to property transactions.
- Advising a premium SME developer in Surrey on the refinancing of a site mid-build and subsequent onward plot sales.
- Advising an Exeter independent bar and restaurant on its conditional acquisition of a 20-year lease of listed city centre premises.
- Advising a motor dealership group on the acquisition of a new showroom in Devon, followed by the subsequent financing of the premises.
- Carrying out due diigence on several occupational leases on behalf of a large shopping centre investor, flagging risks and reporting on salient terms.
- Acting for a PLC housebuilder providing Certificates of Title to support an urgent planning agreement with the Local Planning Authority
