Both charities kick started the evening’s quizzing with a short speech before our staff began the competition, which all proceeds were split equally between the two charities.
Teenage Cancer Trust provides young people between 13 and 24 suffering from cancer with treatment and support in their fight against the disease. Reminiscence Learning specialise in dementia, reminiscence, activities and life story work providing both training for health care professionals, family carers and volunteers and community projects for the older person, those with dementia and their carer’s. Their main centre for training is based in Wellington, Somerset.
During the quiz, teams were able to buy answers as well as swapping team members in return for generous donations to the worthy causes. A raffle also contributed to the £270 raised for the two charities.
Greg Saunders, partner in our Commercial & Private Client Litigation team and the night’s Quiz Master, said: “We are delighted to be able to support two great causes and look forward to working with both charities over the next two years.
The work that both of these charities are doing is very important, and we are proud to be supporting them.
The quiz was a great opportunity to welcome our office charities and we look forward to many more events in the future, as well as opportunities for our staff to generously give their time to work with the charities.”
