Clarke Willmott expands risk and compliance team to support growth of firm

Clarke Willmott has expanded its risk and compliance team with the appointment of three new starters.

Natalie Maloney joins in a newly created role as Head of Onboarding, Susan Richardson joins as Best Practice Manager and Charlotte Murray-Kohter has been appointed Risk Solicitor in an expansion aiming to support the ongoing growth of the firm.

Natalie Maloney, previously a partner working in litigation and compliance, will help to streamline Clarke Willmott’s onboarding processes including anti-money laundering. Heading a team of eight, Natalie will provide support to fee earners allowing them more time to provide a full and seamless service to clients.

Susan’s role also focuses on the support of fee earners. She will offer guidance and practical assistance in helping support junior members of the teams as they become the lawyers of the future. Susan will liaise closely with our HR and Knowledge Services Teams to support our existing wellbeing and training and development programmes.

Charlotte has been brought onboard to support Partner and Director of Risk and Best Practice, Jennifer O’Donnell, as another point of contact for fee earners to deal with regulatory and legal queries. Previously a commercial property solicitor, Charlotte will help to shape future processes and will work across all of the firm’s seven regional offices.

Jennifer O’Donnell said: “I am really excited to be expanding our team and supporting the organic growth of the business. Providing our services to the fee earners is vital in allowing them to focus on representing clients and ultimately securing the best results for them.

“Our team is passionate about being pro-active, not just providing answers to questions but actually getting involved and giving practical help.

“The new appointments will allow us to continue providing this service and introduce new systems to benefit all staff and clients going forward.”
