Paralegal – Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence – Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol or Taunton
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our established Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence team on a full time and permanent basis.

Ranked Band 1 by Chambers, our well-regarded Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence team comprises of five Partners, four associates and support staff. With a client centred approach, our team specialises in managing cases where the injuries sustained are life changing.
This newly created role will see you initially supporting one Partner, whilst also providing proactive support to the wider team. The role is primarily a fee earning role rather than administrative.
This role will allow you to work flexibly, splitting your week between your home working environment and one of our offices.
On a day to day basis you will be:
- Dealing with new client enquiries
- Opening client files following firm procedures
- Communicating directly with clients and other parties by telephone, e-mail and letter
- Obtaining and reviewing medical records
- Undertaking work to progress files such as preparing Lists of Documents and dealing with disclosure
- Collating document bundles
- Document preparation and production using Microsoft Office packages
- Ensuring all emails and electronic documents are filed correctly within FileSite
- Assisting with business development activities
This is a busy role, with deadlines to manage and competing priorities, so you will be required to work quickly, accurately and efficiently, whilst remaining calm under pressure. You will be expected to think ahead to meet the needs of your team and clients.
It is an integral part of this role that you comply with information security and all firm policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have previous experience working as a Personal Injury/Clinical Negligence Paralegal. You will need to hit the ground running, supporting the team and pre-empting their needs as much as possible.
You will also have excellent client skills, alongside a passion for delivering a quality service. This is a fast-paced role so you will need high levels of initiative and task management.
You will be excellent at prioritising and organising your workload, which will be key when working in our busy team.
