We have a fantastic opportunity for an admin assistant / paralegal to join our well established Employment and HR team. Working on a varied caseload, we are looking for someone to help support the team in their day-to-day work handling high quality employment law matters.
You will be joining our supportive and friendly Employment team in our Southampton office which comprises the Head of Employment, a Senior Associate and a Solicitor. You will have the opportunity to develop your experience by assisting the team, including providing administrative support with the potential to fee earn.

Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by:
Working alongside experienced Employment solicitors, you will be involved in:
- A range of contentious and non-contentious work for both commercial/corporate clients, as well as (generally senior level) individuals.
- Assisting with the billing process and client take on (including undertaking anti-money laundering checks; conflict checks; and drafting risk assessments).
- Managing diaries including diarising meetings and calls.
- Drafting legal documents (with supervision).
- Conducting legal research on occasion as requested.
- Preparing bundles for Employment Tribunal cases.
- Assisting with business development activities including pitches, proposals and tenders.
- Preparing and collating marketing materials for seminars.
- Liaising with clients and taking part in client meetings.
- Liaising with counsel, Employment Tribunals and third parties on a regular basis.
This role is both a fee-earning role and administrative role as there are administrative aspects to the role required in providing high quality and pro-active support to the Employment team.
This is a fast-paced role and you will need to be proactive and flexible to meet the demands of your team. You will need to be able to prioritise a number of different tasks effectively, enabling the team to work as efficiently as possible.
It is an integral part of this role that you comply with information security and all firm policies and procedures.
