Roy jointly heads up our national Intellectual Property team from our Manchester office.  Roy trained at and practiced in the London office of global law firm Baker & McKenzie and has a diploma in Intellectual Property Law & Practice from the University of Bristol.  More recently he worked for Walker Morris and was Head of Intellectual Property at JMW Solicitors LLP.

Roy's experience covers all aspects of both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property law, having acted for many of the world's best known brands in relation to both domestic and international disputes.

Roy specialises in providing advice in relation to anti-counterfeiting matters and has many years of experience in advising brands in relation to protecting themselves against those who would seek to trade off their reputation.
