Simple Will Package
What is it?
A straightforward Will for a single person or a pair of straightforward Wills for a married couple, co-habiting couple or partners in a civil partnership.
Who is it for?
The Simple Will Package is suitable for single people or couples whose finances and personal circumstances are uncomplicated but who wish to ensure that their wishes are carried out after their death, and appropriate provision is made for their family.
How does it work?
If someone dies without making a Will then the intestacy laws decide how their assets are divided. This may be inappropriate in some cases (for example, the survivor of an unmarried couple will not at present benefit under the intestacy rules).
The Simple Will Package provides you with a straightforward Will that ensures that your assets pass to people of your choosing.
What are the benefits?
Making a Will means that you have control over:
- the destination of your assets;
- the guardians appointed to look after your children after the death of both parents; and
- the executors who will administer your estate.
What will we provide you with?
We will discuss with you your wishes and produce a draft Simple Will for you to consider. When you are entirely happy with the Will we will then produce a final copy of the Simple Will for you to sign with the required witnesses.
We will store the completed Will for you in safe custody, hold a scanned electronic copy and provide you with a photocopy to keep with your own papers.
As part of the process, we will consider whether the Simple Will is the best product for you and your circumstances, or whether, for example, a product that provides for inheritance tax saving or asset protection may be more appropriate.
The cost
Single Will: £900 plus VAT. Mirror Wills: £1100 plus VAT.
