Our crime and regulatory team provide expert legal advice in the criminal courts for individuals, businesses and public bodies throughout the South West. We have particular expertise in advising clients within the agriculture sector, and as a key NFU panel firm, we have a thorough understanding of the unique challenges faced by the farming community. We can assist you with regulatory matters including prosecutions and criminal investigations by agencies such as the Environment Agency, Trading Standards, Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the police.

Health and Safety

Our team has expertise in advising those under investigation by HSE and the police in respect of alleged breaches of health and safety law. We have a strong track record representing clients in respect of workplace fatalities and serious injuries.

Healthcare

Our lawyers have a wealth of experience providing advice to the care sector, working with registered providers and individuals on inquests, safeguarding inquiries and investigations, including those instigated by the Care Quality Commission/Care Inspectorate for Wales. Our care sector expertise extends to representing both providers and individuals.

General crime

We can help individuals dealing with issues relating to general crime, road traffic matters (including inquiries before the Traffic Commissioner) animal welfare matters, Housing Act matters, planning law breaches and enforcement and inquests.
