Clarke Willmott’s Birmingham Office support Birmingham Children’s Hospital
Lawyers from Clarke Willmott’s Birmingham office have today been showing their support for their local centre of excellence, The Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
The now annual event involves the hospital encouraging local businesses, schools and community groups to wear a bandage as a visible sign of their support for the doctors, nurses, therapists, staff and most importantly the patients and their families. It is also a chance to raise much needed funds to support the hospital, with those participating making donations. Birmingham really gets behind the event and this well loved cause – and across the city today lampposts, benches and whole buildings have been swathed in bandages. Even the famous bull outside the Bullring Shopping Centre has got into the spirit of things.
This year the campaign is for a particularly important cause. The hospital hope to build a new building in their grounds, to be called “Magnolia House”. For those sad times when Doctors have to break upsetting news to patients and their families, when for too long this has often happened on wards, at bedsides, with only a cubicle curtain for privacy, the hospital wants to build Magnolia House to be a peaceful haven for families to be together in before they feel ready to face the world again.
Everyone at Clarke Willmott supports this worthwhile cause and wishes the hospital every success in raising lots of money to turn this into a reality.
