Case report: B v Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust
Vanessa Harris was instructed by the Claimant following laparoscopic bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy in July 2009.
Following the surgery the Claimant experienced a loss of sensation in her right arm. The symptoms gradually improved over a period of a year. The Defendant Trust admitted that the Claimant had been left the head down position with her arm outstretched for an extended period during the operation and accepted that this had caused nerve damage to the Claimant’s right arm.
The claim settled for £10,850 in June 2012.
